From the bottom of my heart to the top of my head

I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is following my humble blog. It can’t be easy since I don’t post many pictures on here so a huge shout out to every one everywhere for taking the time to read, like and comment on my posts.

I appreciate the time I spend reading other blogs and seeing what people are up to. Thank you to everyone who shares pictures to show what they have been doing and to all of you for brightening up my days, my life and know that I really do appreciate you all, each and every one.

I just wish there were more hours in the day to get things done without the need to sleep, but everyone has to cope with life in their own way. No-one deserves a huge shout out more than you do, dear reader, for putting up with…

Thankful Thursdays

One With Vino

beaujolaisthanksgiving8

I love Thanksgiving.  I can easily say it’s one of my favorite holidays.   However, every year has a different feel for you, for me, and for everyone.  One persons joyful celebration may be a time for reflection and realization for some.   For me, this year, I find myself doing both.

I’m big on tradition.  And I’m grateful to have so many good people in my universe.  And sometimes I don’t realize it or fully appreciate it.  At other times, there’s a mood that hits me.  It goes all over the place.  I want to see everyone in my family that I can.  I want to pay visit and respect to all my dear friends, not just during the latter stages of the year, but the other ten months to.  I do but I know it’s never enough.  That’s the holidays.

What the Los Angeles-San Diego Rail Corridor Needs To Really Take Off

ntbraymer

By Noel T. Braymer

The original LOSSAN Rail Corridor (Los Angeles to San Diego) has come a long way since the State of California in the mid 1970’s started paying Amtrak to add more trains to the 3 round trips it was already running. Back then most of the LOSSAN corridor was single track. Most of the tracks dated to World War II which were on wooden ties with bolted rail. The trains had to be wyed to reverse directions which required miles of non-revenue travel in San Diego and a slow back up move out of Los Angeles Union Station. Today most of the line is doubled tracked with more planned in the future. Today the corridor has more trains beside Amtrak’s. Many Metrolink trains operate between Los Angeles and Oceanside with more Coaster trains between Oceanside and San Diego. Even more trains are planned in the near future.
