Animal Farm @ Tagaytay Highlands

Belle Papillon 24/7

This is part II of “Grateful… blissful… serene… TYG!!!” as I promised to talk about the Animal Farm.

One of the exclusive amenities when staying at Tagaytay Highlands is  being able to check out their Animal Farm. It is a petting zoo and home to miniature animals from different parts of the world. This mini-Zoo has a lot of healthy, well-cared animals! It has a well-manicured garden with a variety of flora and fauna. The caretakers are very kind and accommodating and will entertain any questions you may have.

I managed to pet a huge snake (see right side of photo collage) and have a big snake wrapped around my neck. I was able to feed a cockatoo and a parrot (see 2 photos @ top right) and all these things used to terrify me to death (still scares me)…  but I did it! Woooot!!!

We also fed their Orangutan named Chino…

Wide Awake But Dreaming

No thousand word moments yesterday, though I was close by getting up to twelve words short of the Big K.  It’s cool:  I was struggling a bit to get to that word count mostly due to not feeling the writing magic.  It happens, you know.

This morning is different, however.  While I haven’t been writing I have gotten my editing groove on and cleaned up some stretches from the last couple of days.  It’s been a somewhat productive morning, mostly helped by a drink that’s a combination of eggnog and coffee.

You should always write with high-powered eggnog at your side. You should always write with high-powered eggnog at your side.

In my current time line I’m about ready to send my kids out to Memory’s End because the scene I’m working on at the moment is nearly over.  Back in Excerpt Time we’re with my kids and Isis and Wednesday talking about stuff and lists.  And what does that…

I had never gotten a pedicure before and was treated to it as a college graduation present. And guess what?! I didn’t even let my ticklishness get the best of me – which I unfortunately can’t say for the one and only massage that I have ever gotten!

As you guys know, I am a devout fan of my acrylic nails so you would think that I would have gotten a pedicure by now. Not the case, guys. Not the case. I guess I really just have never cared about my toes enough to pamper them. 1) They’re not pretty to look at. 2) I barely have nails worthy of painting on my tootsies. And 3) My pinkie corn chip toe is an…

Product Review: Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Alright so after hearing rave reviews from all my fave vloggers, I finally decided to buy the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm.

PatrickStarrr recommended using makeup remover wipes with the balm in a video a few months ago. This is supposed to help remove makeup even more effectively.

After the first time I tried it, I already was in love! It’s an easy product to apply: just use your finger and dip in to apply all over your face. So easy right?

It has an oily texture to it once on the face but it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. What’s great about this balm is how it instantly removes makeup.

It does smear your makeup around a bit but hey you’re taking the day off right? With the aid of a removal wipe, the balm does a fabulous job of removing everything.

Another bonus to this product is how…
