Coming to work today,

The outlook is okay…

Pizza and fish,

What more could one wish

For a gastronomic forray?

Kindness is to respond,

Today was above and beyond…

I mean to assure

My motives are pure,

Accepting food of which I am fond.

–

Praise to God for provision, *

Prepared without my decision…

Sparrows are fed**

And so I am led,

My heart having seen circumcision.***

The House at Sky Meadows, Paris, Virginia

John Cowgill's Literature Site

This  is  the  house  at  Sky  Meadows  State  Park  in  Paris,  Virginia.  It  was  once  the  hide  out  for  John  Mosby,  a  Civil  War  soldier  for  the  Confederacy.  He  was  named  the  Grey  Ghost  because  he  had  the  ability  to  sneak  in  and  out  of  places  and  was  able  to  blend  in  among  people  without  being  seen.  He  was  constantly  pursued  by  the  Union  Army…  but  was  never  captured.

The Journey of My Left Foot (whilst remembering my son)

Sunday 24th April

Somewhere, there’s this place
Where I can see, hear and touch you.
A place where I watch you smile
And where I can feel your cuddles.

This place is unseen by others
But we know it’s there, don’t we?
In my dreams, my soul, my heart
All around me, it’s where you are.

This very special, forever place
Where you and I exist together.
For as long as I move and breathe
You are there with me, for all time.

I love you so very much.
I miss you each and every day.
A piece of you is in my heart
And there you will forever stay.
