Review of Freelancer Websites – Fiverr.com

At the request of many, I decided it is important to understand how freelancing platforms work. I can’t say I have been through all of them, so far I am on 3 popular freelancing platforms; Fiverr.com, Freelancer.com and Upwork.com. There are, of course, many different platforms, do a Google Search, you will discover plenty of middlemen eager to host both the companies and us, the freelancers. And why not? If there are demands, there will always be supply.

First of all, you have to understand, I am not sponsored by these companies and I am speaking from my experiences. However, I do wish that Fiverr.com will feature me as one of their monthly proud and about member (you hear that Fiverr? Haha.)

Mnemosyne/ Μνημοσύνη (Roman equivalent: Moneta(0)) was a Titaness, goddess of Memory (1) and the inventor of Words (2). 

Mnemosyne was also a goddess of time. She represented the rote memorisation required, before the introduction of writing, to preserve the stories of history and sagas of myth. She was the daughter of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaia (Earth). Uranus and Gaia were the parents of the first generation of Titans, consisting of twelve elder gods/goddesses, being Mnemosyne included among them.

Progress

DoubleU = W

oh, but progress is fleeting

and stands poorly against time

to what means do we progress

to cut out the tongue

to paint over the skin

to punish the right

to reward the wrong

today’s progress

is tomorrow’s regress

hold your mind in place

keep the feet planted

hands down at your sides

mouth closed and silent

make no sudden movement

time will march

and only forward

in this regard

progress will come

and we, carried with it

but to progress as you see it

will only take us

on a fight back

against the streams of time
