Hey Everyone,

ombre with a vintage vibe
So there I was at my local thrift shop, looking for some vases, when I saw this gem of a dress. I swear, I wasn’t even clothing thrifting but this dress was just calling my name. I couldn’t believe it: a vintage ombre dress! I was so excited to try it out! Despite the fact that it’s still summer in Chicago…I’ve decided to embrace our current lack of fall and embrace the sunny days with colorful dresses. I’ve got all my tights and sweaters on stand-by in the meantime. This is my ombre (summer) dress with a vintage vibe.

ORIGINS GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer
Hey All!
I recently scraped what was left of my morning moisturizer. I have ample samples in a box I have accumulated over time and they were… meh. The samples did not wake me up. I did not smell that zesty zing I unknowingly loved. My skin unknowingly loved that ZING. My skin and I needed another dang orange bottle, STAT!
Oh boy, when this baby was delivered I couldn’t help but wash my face and soak it in. As i opened the new bottle from its package I re-read the description:
This lightweight, oil-free, skin energy drink, fortified with legendary skin-boosters like Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean, jumpstarts hydration levels. Lackluster-looking skin is rapidly refreshed and revitalized to create a healthy, vibrant glow.

Drugstore Haul
If you know me in real life, you know that if I am not at home, church, or at my kid’s school, most likely you can find me at Target! I love that place! They take all of my coupons, plus have cartwheel and mobile coupons. So, that being said, that is where I got all of these things.
I love Pantene! It is my all time favorite shampoo/conditioner brand! Even when I have used other higher end brand hair care I always end up coming back to Pantene. I am interested to try out this new Ultimate 10 BB Creme Conditioner and the Nature Fusion Moisturizing Shampoo with Melon Essence.
I have been enjoying the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and wanted to try out the Fit Me Concealer. Of course, I also had a coupon.
I love the YES to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub, so I…

To really see New York City inequality, just ride the subway
New York is increasingly a tale of two states — and Mayor Bill de Blasio presides over the superrich one. This would be good news for a mayor with a real plan: That is, we’ve got the money to start fixing our subway woes, and a historic chance to do it.
De Blasio is still on his inequality kick, although he has run out of ideas about how to fix it.
But the real inequality crisis is not within Gotham. It’s between New York City and the rest of the state.
Just look at the figures from a jobs report by the state comptroller, Tom DiNapoli. Over the half-decade since we got out of recession, New York City has created three out of four of the state’s new jobs, even though we have only 42 percent of the state’s population. Since 2009, Gotham has seen job growth of 11.3 percent…
