NARS Pro Palette

Hello to YOU! Alas, a custom palette to create and collect all the NARS goodies all in one place. I have never attempted to remove any of my NARS products to place in any other magnetic palette as I prefer to customize eyeshadows to their own beauty line (i.e. MAC eyeshadows in a MAC palette). I do, however, own one Z-Palette that houses four of my go-to ABH banana powders and admittedly – I got that particular Z-Palette because of the Sephora stripes. It’s simply a good looking thing, lol. When I received an e-mail about the Pro Palette release I jumped on it. It traveled ever so slowly, though. It took a week. I wish that this product will soon be available at other retailers like Sephora as their VIB ROUGE shipping is two-day and free.

Anyway – this palette came empty. I did not buy anything to fill…

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Butter (1 stick butter)
3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 cups oatmeal (I prefer old fashioned rolled oats, not instant)

Over medium heat, mix the sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk in a medium/large saucepan. Boil for 1 minute.

Turn off the heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla. Mix quickly until peanut butter melts completely. Then add the oatmeal and mix until well blended.

Using a 2 tbsp scooper (a spoon will also be fine) drop spoonfuls onto tin foil, wax paper or parchment.
It’s going to be tough to resist…

June Goals // Slowly getting it together.

Ordinary Adventures

Welcome readers!

Somehow. Somehow, my May goals were almost all resounding successes! Still slightly in shock, I am proud of myself and happy with my progress. More than that though, I am happy that I went through with this challenge and actually accomplished not one, but multiple things this month. I didn’t dawdle, or give up, or forget. I wrote out my goals and then set out to accomplish them.

  • I started two out of my three planned segments. I have so much fun writing each week for my Workout Wednesdays and Bingeable Fridays. Look out for my Monday segment coming this month!
  • I did post an average of three to four times a week. It wasn’t too much of a struggle either. I have very quickly and completely fallen in love with blogging.
  • I did keep applying to jobs. And it paid off, I am now a hired educator!

Marc Jacobs – Free Spirit Eyeshadow Palette (Holiday 2015)

Hey All! Look at what arrived last night! The Marc Jacobs Beauty The Free Spirit 224 eyeshadow palette is an absolute stunner. This is my first and only eyeshadow palette from the brand. I have read many great words about their eyeshadow palettes so I felt I could not go wrong ordering it. This product is for the 2015 Holiday season. It was up for purchase at the Marc Jacobs Beauty website earlier this week and I am assuming it sold out as it does not appear on the site anymore. DO NO FRET MAKEUP LOVERS! I also read this will be released at Sephora (hopefully during the upcoming Fall VIB Sale).

The palette retailed for $99 and came with a miniature Highliner in Blackquer (not pictured) with code WELCOME. Shipping was also free with the code but I opted to have this product delivered to me second-day and it arrived…

Ring-Necked Pheasant

Day 66 / 365 Part 1

“Oh sh*t people, time to run”.

Interesting Fact: Ring-necked Pheasants sometimes cope with extreme cold by simply remaining dormant for days at a time. ( http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/ring-necked_pheasant/lifehistory )

Short Eared Owl

Day 66 / 365   Part 2

“I can see clearly now the snow has stopped”!

Interesting Fact: The Short-eared Owl may compete with the Barn Owl in some areas. Some successful nest box programs to attract Barn Owls have coincided with the decline of the Short-eared Owl in the same area. ( http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/short-eared_owl/lifehistory )

The trilogy of evil. Poetic Letter

Joëlle Jean-Baptiste – Author

Dear readers

Here is a new poetics letter entitled: The trilogy of evil

The trilogy of evil

The trilogy of evil

I know both sides of evil
Owned by women or men
The first brutal, the other underhand

The first arrived in great noise, destroyed
Monstrous, painful
Strikes and leaves a field of ruins

The second would be nice, smiling
When it is sufficiently along
Best observed, it is demonic

Difficult to see the subtle messages (…)

The rest of this new poetic letter is on the site of poetry: The free thoughts
